Small-batch bars, bonbons and gift boxes made from Ecuador's fine aroma cacao — with flavors you will not find anywhere else in Utah.

Our story
Cioccoland was founded by Pedro Mendez, who grew up in Ecuador surrounded by one of the most prized cacaos on Earth — the fine aroma cacao his country is famous for. There, cacao was never just an ingredient. It was tradition, identity and pride.
When he emigrated to the United States, he brought that heritage with him. In Utah he began crafting chocolate the slow way — in small batches, with real cacao and real cocoa butter — blending Ecuadorian tradition with flavors this state had never tasted.
“When you taste chocolate made with true cacao, you don't just taste something sweet. You taste a story.”
Every wrapper carries it with him: an engraving in gold of Vinces, the historic cacao town in Ecuador's Los Ríos province — a reminder that each bar starts long before the mold, in the land where the cacao grows.

The collection
Six expressions of one cacao. Each bar is wrapped in our pine green and gold, banded in the color of its flavor — the same system printed on every Cioccoland package.
Real passion fruit, folded in as a fine powder so the chocolate stays silky. Bright tropical acidity over deep cacao — the foodie's bar.
An Ecuadorian herb, infused slowly into the cacao butter before molding. Soft citrus, green-tea elegance — refined, never loud.
Dried chile infused into the cacao butter. It is not hot at first — wait for it. A warm, elegant finish that arrives at the very end.
Sun-ripened mango in fine powder form. Smooth, golden, tropical sweetness — the bar everyone finishes first.
Roasted peanut crunch in creamy 33% milk chocolate. Our founding flavor — texture, salt-kissed crunch, pure comfort.
The founder's signature: hierba luisa — Ecuador's lemon verbena, sipped in homes for generations — infused into dark chocolate. Made in small lots.

Bonbons & gifts
Beyond the bars: hand-molded bonbons, glossy truffles and ribbon-tied gift boxes — the side of Cioccoland that shows up at celebrations.

Filled bonbons and truffles in rotating flavors — glossy shells, soft centers, finished one by one. The premium line of the house.
Clear and black gift boxes, hand-tied with ribbon. Hearts for the people you love; assortments for everyone else on the list.
Custom orders for events — bonbon trays and chocolate tables built around your occasion, in the house colors of pine and gold.
Limited runs through the year — new fillings, new molds, same cacao. When a small lot sells out, it is gone until the next one.
More about chocolate
Great chocolate is decided long before it is molded. This is the road every Cioccoland batch travels.
Cacao pods are cut by hand in Ecuador's growing regions, where fine aroma varieties have been cultivated for generations.
The beans ferment for days in wooden boxes. This quiet stage builds the flavor precursors that later become chocolate's depth.
Slow drying under the tropical sun lowers moisture and lets the bean's character settle — patience you can taste.
A careful roast wakes up the aroma. The shells are cracked away, leaving pure cacao nibs ready for the grind.
Hours of slow refining turn nibs, sugar and cocoa butter into silk — the texture that melts clean instead of grainy.
A controlled melt-and-cool aligns the cocoa butter crystals. That is what gives the gloss, the clean break — the snap.
Ecuador's Nacional cacao — often called Arriba — is prized worldwide for its floral, fruity notes. Only a small fraction of the world's cacao earns fine-flavour status. Ours starts there.
Cioccoland is made with real cacao and real cocoa butter — never vegetable-fat substitutes. It is why the melt is clean and the flavor carries.
Fresh fruit would break chocolate — water and fat refuse to mix. So our tropical flavors go in as fine freeze-dried powders and fat infusions, keeping the snap and the shine.
